A moment of your time
We are sad to report that Chop Cult contributor / photographer Mikey Arnold's house was broken into last night. The thieves stole his cameras, camera equipment, video cameras, go pro, Xbox, wii, his wife's iPad, and more. If anyone in west park areas sees anything or Cleveland area u see some shit in Craigslist or pawn stores please let him know.

We rarely ask for help for one of our own, if you dig Mikey's work, please check out his prints for sale http://www.foreverthechaoslife.com/. Also if there’s a certain photo you like from his many features on the site, let him know and he can print it off for you mikeyrevolt@gmail.com.

LIVING LOST Photographs by Josh Kurpius January 17 – May 18, 2014
By the Harley - Davidson Museum
Rider and photographer Josh Kurpius’ work reveals the many contradictions embedded within his experiences on the road with friends; quiet reflections among the noise of vintage choppers, broken-down standstills after rolling with the throttle wide open for miles, camaraderie while surrounded by the solitude and emptiness of the endless horizon. A sense of timelessness runs throughout the photographs. References in the images look just as plausibly 1970's as they do modern, from the riders and their bikes to the landscape.
Taken during a series of road trips, Josh’s photos not only expose the beauty of America, but the beauty that can be captured in off-moments-those that he regularly finds himself wrapped up in. Often, the moment reveals itself in the most serendipitous way. The machines Josh and his friends ride can only go so far without refueling or needing a repair. While riding across the country, they find themselves stopping in places one might barely notice if they were in a car, or even on a new bike. Josh’s expressive images capture his friend’s reactions to the situation or to what is being seen. The prospect of missing that one moment, both from the perspective of experiencing it and the possibilities of catching it on film, lures Josh back to the road.
More than thirty original photographs by Josh Kurpius will be on display. Living Lost runs from January 17, 2014 through May 18, 2014.

This weekend - Portland OR - Women's Motorcycle Exhibit By Lanakila MacNaughton
Please join Lanakila MacNaughton at See See Motorcycles on July 12 from 8- 10 pm
"I created The Women's Motorcycle
Exhibition to document the new wave of modern female
motorcyclists. I want to reveal the brave, courageous and beautiful
women that live to ride. The Women's Motorcycle Exhibition is
a traveling show. I hope to help discover and present female riders
from all different communities, riding backgrounds, and styles, and
maybe even influence some connectivity amongst riders from these
different areas. I invite different communities and venues to host
the photo exhibit to aid in this discovery. Also, I’m always
looking for women to shoot. Above all, I hope to illustrate, and
really present, the freedom, independence, excitement and
personalities’ of “the born to be free” woman motorcyclists."
Thanks,
Lanakila MacNaughton
