The Mama Tried Motorcycle Show is an indoor invitational that connects motorcycles and builders to fans and riders alike. Keeping the fire stoked all winter long. The Show features over 100 motorcycles from builders of all calibers—flat-tracker, hill climber, chopper, and bar hopper. FREE shuttle to and from the show! Flat Out Friday is an indoor flat track motorcycle race on a Dr.Pepper syrup coated concrete track. Riders from the ages of 6 to 79 years old come from across the country to compete at the largest and most distinguished indoor flat track race in the U.S.A. Some of the most popular race classes are the Hooligan class where street legal motorcycles are modified for racing and the Goofball class, where almost anything with 2 wheels ( sometimes with just one or three!) goes! In addition it is mandatory for racers to wear a costume in this class. Expect the unexpected at Flat Out Friday. In the past, there has been a marriage, an impromptu wrestling match, and more all right on the track in between races. The fierce competition on the track provides the perfect balance between laughs and thrills during the event. Part race, part rock show, and part circus it all adds up to 110% entertainment. Ron “Ronster” Brefka was a generous and selfless community builder, constantly involved in promoting events for the benefit of others and our larger custom, antique and racing worlds. He was a philanthropist and a life-long advocate for motorcyclists. Ron had a way of bringing people together, over motorcycles, to realize his mission to help others. He took a devastating diagnosis and used it to assist other individuals in their journey. He was consistantly helping others even while he was fighting to save his own life. His was a thoughtful, friendly face at every event and an inspiration to all who knew him.

Ron’s High Voltage Motorcycle Show, Flat track and Ice Races brought all kinds of people together and inspired others to follow his motto, “live your fullest, everyday”. His presence was broad and he had a humble and generous demeanor. He was always helpful and ready with a kind word, bringing smiles to the faces of those around him. Ron could not have realized the impact he had on those around him and in the greater motorcycle community. His presence is a tremendous loss for the motorcycle community. Godspeed, Ron.

One of the most recognizable bicycles of all time just hit its growth spurt thanks to Sean Skinner at Motorelic. Sean started this project back in 2016 by creating a custom frame. Then he found a re-phased 1978 Yamaha XS650 engine and went from there. We caught up with him at Mama Tried 2022 to get a closer look at the finished product.
