"The industry is in a unique place at the moment, and consumers are looking at traditional media for great storytelling because they're simply tired of feeling like tech zombies all day."

Subscriptions to Hot Bike are now available for both domestic and international readers. Plus, the new Hot Bike will have a cool pull-out poster in every issue to hang on your shop or bedroom wall once again!

About Hot Bike: Established in 1971, Hot Bike is the leader in the custom and performance V-twin world of motorcycles. From the original shadetree mechanics itching for more horsepower, Hot Bike was born from the necessity for more speed and performance from their stock bikes.. If it didn't make your factory motorcycle faster or ride better, you wouldn't find it in Hot Bike. The same holds true today, as Hot Bike continues its founder's original legacy for the next 50 years.

Way to go Josh!

North American Motor Car is excited to announce the launch of American Metal, a new brand that offers vintage car and motorcycle enthusiasts custom builds featuring Master Builder and Fabricator Josh Allison’s unique and iconic design style. American Metal represents a new vision for the custom lifestyle that showcases the glamour and elegance of vintage design coupled with the grit and pride of hand-made American craftsmanship. Josh will be curating and leading a team of professional builders, artisans and fabricators that plan to destroy all creative barriers and showcase the artistry and craftsmanship that goes into every product they build.

“It is a dream come true to be able to create a new brand around a builder of Josh Allison’s caliber. We are very excited to provide him with the resources and creative freedom he needs to push the boundaries of what is possible and build the types of custom cars and motorcycles that enthusiasts and collectors will love,” said Chris Bishop, CEO of North American Motor Car and American Metal. “I’m thrilled to be able to launch American Metal with Josh and the amazingly skilled team we have assembled. Not only will our custom hotrods and motorcycles be mind-blowing pieces of rolling art, but they will also be fun and enjoyable to drive and ride.”

Allison, a graduate from WyoTech’s ASM, Collision Refinishing, Street Rod and Advanced Street Rod programs, has been passionate about motorcycles and cars since childhood. He has accomplished many things as a master builder and fabricator, including starting his own shop, Cry Baby Cycles, acting as the lead fabricator and shop manager at Orange County Choppers, and receiving several prestigious hot rod awards. Allison has been highlighted in TV shows Wrench Against the Machine and American Chopper on Discovery and has been invited to showcase his builds at The Handbuilt Motorcycle Show, Concours d’Elegance Show and the Born Free Motorcycle Show. Two of Allison’s custom bikes were even featured in paintings by American Artist David Uhl. Allison is also a ChopCult Tech article contributor and over the years has been highlighted in numerous magazines, including Cycle Source Magazine, Easyriders Magazine, Revolution Magazine, HotRodder Magazine, Road Kill Magazine and Delicious Dolls Magazine. Now he brings his passion, talent, and experience to American Metal!
“I couldn’t be more excited about the opportunity to create an ultra-premium lifestyle brand like American Metal that can inspire custom car and motorcycle enthusiasts from all over the world,” said Allison. “Every American Metal build is handcrafted, one of a kind and completely original in every way. We are inspired by the past, but we aren’t here to do what has been done before. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for me and I’m honored to work with such a rowdy group of professional builders, fabricators and creative outlaws.”

Allison, along with the American Metal team including Ralph Baldwin, Ted Boccuzzi, Bryan Kendall, Daniel Tatun, David Lemet, Steve Deuschle, and Carlos Villa, will be creating their custom builds at the new state of the art North American Motor Car headquarters which will open in late 2021. Baileigh Industrial, a leading metal and woodworking machinery distributor that has been supporting Allison’s builds for quite some time will continue their relationship and be supporting the entire American Metal team with tools in the new shop. “We are very proud to provide Josh and the American Metal team with the ultimate dream facility that will allow them to bring their creations to life,” said Andy Hill, Chief Operating Officer of North American Motor Car. “Having Josh and the team working at the new North American Motor Car headquarters will also allow us to provide the highest level of restoration and customization services for our customers.”

To celebrate the launch of American Metal, Allison is currently building the first American Metal custom motorcycle that will debut at Fuel Cleveland in Cleveland, Ohio on Saturday, November 6. For more information about American Metal and how to purchase a custom car or motorcycle, visit americanmetalcustom.com and follow American Metal Customs on Instagram and Facebook.

New Rigid Sporty Engine Mount-Kit from Nash

"Our Rigid Sporty Engine Mount-Kit replaces the stock rubber engine mounts on stock Sportster frames from 2004 up. This mount kit installs easily with 2 people and does not interfere with normal engine mount install. Our pictures show close up of the front mount installed as well as the rear mounts with a front view of the front mount. It's solid, strong and waterproof. These mounts help take the "shake" out of your motor on the stock rubber mounts. These are CNC machined 6061 aluminum and fabricated right here in the U.S.A."- Nash

NEW PRODUCT ALERT: S&S Cycle - Stealth Teardrop Air Cleaner

The iconic S&S Cycle Teardrop air cleaner gets a Stealth makeover
Born in 1975 and arguably the most recognized big twin air cleaner on the planet, the classic S&S Cycle Teardrop looks as much at home on a knuckle as it does on a 2019 Bagger and S&S just made it even better. They are easy to install, easy to clean and in most cases CARB approved Stealth Air Cleaner has long been a staple for high performance induction (up to 6 hp gain on the M8!), the one thing it was missing was the full size teardrop cover (several exposed filter styles and a mini version of the teardrop are still available for the Stealth) .
The Folks at S&S Cycle have rectified that by mating their best air cleaner platform with their most popular air cleaner cover, creating the Stealth Teardrop. A tribute to the classic lines of the teardrop that look so right on the side of a bike combined with the high-tech and high-flow Stealth back plate/air filter brings the best of both worlds together. CARB approved and available for all 1999-2019 Harley Davidson big twin models and an easy install as well. Cover only kits also available for all existing S&S Stealth systems. Go to https://www.sscycle.com/stealth-teardrop-kits/ for more information.

S&S Cycle Donates Engines and training to Local High School

Lead by instructor Bill Hannah, Viroqua High School's shop class, is a student favorite, covering a broad spectrum of subjects from small engines to drywall and basic electrical, all viable real-world skillsets, particularly in the rural setting of the Driftless Region. Like many small-town shop programs Hannah is well connected with the community he serves and that reach put him together with the folks at S&S Cycle. A staple in the performance motorcycle industry for the last 60 years, S&S employs 270 people, many of whom attended VHS or have children in their school system. "We were approached by a high school a few states away that has a fairly established engines program, and it occurred to us we should help create something like that locally" state's S&S Cycle's VP of Marketing David Zemla. Not only did S&S donate seven complete engines to the program, but they also supplied tools, a curriculum and sent in an instructor to support the work several times per week. "Before working at S&S Cycle, I was an instructor at a technical school that focused on the motorcycle industry, so helping with this program was an easy transition," says S&S Cycle's Kevin Boarts. Kids got the chance to break down an engine to the cases, learn the theories behind internal combustion and gain confidence in their ability to take something apart and put it back together correctly. S&S intends to roll the program out to several more schools across the next six months as well as offering internships to interested students during the summer months. Go to https://www.sscycle.com/ for more information.
