A 2 day ride and camp out around the perimeter of the New Jersey. Meet up in Asbury Park then we will ride to cape May and back up to the mountains of North Jersey to party and camp. The Cheap Thrills custom motorcycle show and swap is back for year 5 this Saturday, Feb. 1st. 70+ custom hand built motorcycles on display, and close to 100 parts and industry vendors. The Cheap Thrills Motorcycle show is located in The Asbury Park Convention Hall. $10 at the door. Kids under 12 FREE. Rock - N - Ride To The Graham School

From Walter from Kickstart Cycle Supply "In 1989 my friend Gene started Road Recovery which is a nonprofit that does recovery and outreach for at risk kids. They help a lot of people and they need funds to keep up the good work. To that end we are getting involved with this ride they set up for Saturday, June 24th."

About the ride:
We will be meeting at Bergen County Harley Davidson at 9 am. There will be complementary coffee and bagels available while you sign up for the ride. Kickstands up at 10 am for the long way up to the Graham School Campus in Hastings on Hudson, NY through some of the best motorcycle friendly roads on the east coast. (Approximately 100 mi) Once there you can find out more about the school while enjoying a catered lunch. After that it’s a quick ride back to BCHD for some well deserved ice cream.

The goal of the ride is to bring a message of hope to the young ladies and young men residing at the Graham School through a demonstration of unity and support through the assembly of motorcyclists along with hearing their inspirational life stories of struggle to triumph. The tax deductible donations raised will allow Road Recovery to reach more and more young people through their at-risk youth programs and community outreach events.

We have set up a CROWDRISE page to make it very easy and convenient for you to donate. You can also donate the day of the ride as well. Suggested donations will be at the Sign up.

About Road Recovery:
Road Recovery is dedicated to helping young people battle addiction and other adversities by harnessing the influence of entertainment industry professionals who have confronted similar crises and now wish to share their experience, knowledge, and resources. With support from the mental health field, Road Recovery provides hands-on mentorship training, educational/performance workshops, peer-support networking, and “all access” to real-life opportunities by collaborating with young people to create and present live-concert events and recording projects.

Meet at Cool Beans Coffee Shop in Oradell NJ

Kickstands up at 10am

Ride all day through the Catskills region of New York (Around 250mi)

Arrive at our Campsite around 5pm

Dinner around 8pm

Sat. Sept 10th

Wake up

Choose your own Route! We will have several maps to choose from. Ride as little or as much as you want.

Back to the campsite for Dinner and games of skill and stupidity.

Awards presentation.

Continue with the fun…

Sun. Sept 11th

Get up.

Clean up after yourself.

Ride home to the warm embrace of your loved ones.

I meet people on a regular basis that tell me stories about their first time on the Gypsy Run. I love to see the excitement on their faces when they recall the first time they rode in a pack, fixed their bike on the side of the road with a rock or found out just how much rain a person can ride through. We have come up with the best way to run a motorcycle event. We take care of the basics and then get out of the way. There is no fee to participate. There is no registation. We couldn't care less what type of motorcycle you ride, As long as you ride! We provide the opportunity for people to write their own story. I think that is why people come back year after year. Everyone is welcome. Everyone is treated with respect. Everyone has a great time. Hope you can make it this year. ~ Walter
