Established in 1946, the family-owned Shinko Group began as a manufacturer of bicycle tires and tubes in Osaka, Japan. Today, the same family-owned Shinko Group has grown into a respected world-wide manufacture of rubber products.
In the late '90s, the Shinko Tire Group purchased the motorcycle tire technology and molds from Yokohama Rubber Co. and began production and worldwide distribution of motorcycle tires under the Shinko Tire brand. With manufacturing based in South Korea and design based in Japan, the company has seamlessly combined Japanese engineering and design principles with South Korean production and quality control standards. Ongoing product testing in the USA and R/ D at Shinko Tire's factory means a continuous path of exciting tires to meet the need of today's motorcycle riders and builders. In the United States, Shinko Tires are imported and distributed by HardDrive American V-Twin products, a division of Western Power Sports (WPS), which has been in the powersports distribution business for 61 years. Headquartered in Boise, Idaho, with warehouses located in Boise, Idaho; Fresno, California; Ashley, Indiana; Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania; Midlothian, Texas, and Midway; Georgia, Shinko Tires USA, in conjunction with HardDrive American V-Twin Products and WPS, are proud to bring you the Shinko line of motorcycle tires.
