Broken Spoke Hosts the 1st Annual Daytona Bike Week Twisted Tea Editor's Choice Bike Show

You've seen the glossy pictures of the bikes that grace the pages of your favorite magazine. You know your bike is just as good - if not better - than many you've seen staring back at you from the pages. Your hard work should be displayed on the glossy pages right next to the best in the business. This year, during the First Annual Daytona Bike Week Twisted Tea Editor's Choice Bike Show, The Broken Spoke and the
National Motorcycle Magazines can make it happen.

For the first time ever Bike Week attendees, scooter tramps, and old heads can make their way to the Broken Spoke Saloon on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at noon where 15 of the national motorcycle publications will be throwing a one day show. The first of its kind in the history or motorcycle magazines, each magazine editor will select a bike from the show to award as their "Editor's Choice" winner. Each of the winning bikes will receive a trophy from that magazine, and a full feature in a future issue. That's right, man, go get the pan shined up, it's on!

Shape, style, and class won't matter - Twisted Tea is going all out to make sure everyone will have their chance to get their bike in the show. In addition to the Editor's Choice Awards there will be 12 classes awarded for the best Sportster, Big Twin, Bobber, Chopper, Pan, Shovel, Bagger, CafĂ©, Import, and Antique motorcycles of the day. Better yet there is NO ENTRY FEE!!! That's right, this round is on Twisted Tea and the Broken Spoke Saloon. There will be tons of prizes and give-a-ways all day long from Twisted, the Broken Spoke Saloon, all the magazines and many other companies from the motorcycle industry.

Spend the day at the Broken Spoke Saloon and meet your heroes from the pages of the national magazines or take this opportunity to argue with something they've said in the past. Don't miss this opportunity to swap stories with the folks that bring it alive each month. Each magazine will have a booth at the Broken Spoke that day; all you have to do is show up. You'll have the chance to meet staff members and editors from American Bagger, American Iron Magazine, American Iron Motorcycle Bagger, Baggers, BikerNet.com, Cycle Source, Easyriders, Hot Bike, IronWorks, RoadBike, Road Iron, Street Chopper, The Horse, Wrench, Thunder Press, Urban Bagger. There will be representatives on site from the motorcycle rights organization, Motorcycle Riders Foundation, as well, so bring along your MC Rights issues for a good
chance to talk to those who know the answers.

Registration begins at high noon, what more fitting a time for the Broken Spoke than shoot out hours, right? Awards will be announced by 6:00 p.m. and from there the party will be on at the Daytona Broken Spoke. Big Engine will be performing, and for the first time ever, the big guns from the custom bike magazines of the world will be all together for a show of ultimate magnitude. Get your bikes ready and grab your gear - you won't want to miss it!

Old School Chopper Show - March 14, 2013 - Daytona

Daytona Bike Week isn't on most Chop Cult members radar but it should be. There are a few events that cater to our scene and I guarantee you will have good time.

The first and most important is The  Old School Chopper Show hosted by Willie Jones, owner of Tropical Tattoo. Beside being the oldest tattoo shop in Daytona, Willie, Roadside Marty and the awesome staff have been providing a home for scooter tramps and vagabonds for the past 13 years. It's a great venue for you to receive the accolades you deserve for your custom motorcycle. Doesn't hurt that national and international press are on location either. This show has helped builders and opened the doors for many folks within the industry. It's free to enter, just show up early and park. Do me a favor and buy a  t-shirt or get a tattoo while your there as this show all out of pocket for Willie. Our contributor Bear will be on location covering the event  for a upcoming feature.

Burly Stiletto Shocks

Lifted is the new lowered and the Burly Stiletto shocks are 15” of coil sprung sexiness. Created to give your Sportster the attitude and suspension travel that a proper cafĂ©, Scrambler or post apocalyptic XL wants and needs. The high performance damper is wrapped in a spring combination designed specifically to deal with subtle road noise and imperfections, while the main coil handles the big hits and controls bottoming. The result is a plush ride that’s not afraid to play rough. Fitment for most 1986 thru 2003 Sportster models.

Check out the Burly web site or contact your local dealer to get a set.

Biltwell Moto Goggles

The virtues of motocross goggles are well sung among men who ride the wild thunder, but few outlaws we know can stomach the gaudy graphics and over-the-top technology that has glutted today's goggle market. Introducing Biltwell Moto Goggles. Every pair of simple, well-made Moto Goggles is engineered to keep shit out of your eyes without causing a scene. There's no deflector shields, spider web graphics or neon accents on these track- and tarmac-tested goggles: just the bare essentials for clear vision when conditions are less than ideal. The molded frame features a large eye port for excellent peripheral visibility. Two-stage foam with fleece outer layer provides venting and comfort, and the clear anti-fog lens is removable for cleaning and replacement. The heavy-duty strap on Moto Goggles is woven for superior stretch and durability, and features double D-rings for precise adjustment.
Three colors available: Black, White or Grey, with contrasting two-tone strap.

Clear and dark anti-fog replacement lenses also available.
